ABOUT THE COURSE

ASLIP is fully funded by the ASEAN-UK Green Transition Fund (GTF). GTF is a UK Mission to ASEAN's climate flagship programme, aiming to accelerate ASEAN’s transition to a clean and climate-resilient economy by reducing emissions in key sectors, supporting green economic growth, and improving livelihoods of vulnerable people. Designed to empower you to make a lasting, positive impact in addressing the urban and infrastructural challenges of the future. Building on our successful programmes in the past three years, we have elevated the experience with new content and dynamic delivery methods for 2026.

You will dive into a myriad of themes encompassing project planning, preparation, appraisal, funding, procurement, and future-proofing of the places that we live, work, play, and learn. You will also explore the critical infrastructure that binds these elements together, creating sustainable built environments that champion diversity, equity and inclusivity.

This course is rich with case studies and aligns with MPAC 2025's initiatives to foster resilience building. It's crafted to arm ASEAN policy makers and practitioners with the necessary skills, knowledge base, and strategic thinking to bring sustainability to life in their work. It offers valuable insights to plan, procure, and 'build back better', creating habitats that will serve both present and future generations.

DYNAMIC DELIVERY

The ASLIP 2026 programme was redesigned to better accommodate the busy schedules of infrastructure practitioners across ASEAN. The updated programme is now more concise and places a stronger emphasis on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles. It features a hybrid learning model, combining an online course from the University of Oxford with a 5-day residential workshop. This workshop not only includes case studies and interactive sessions but also offers a valuable opportunity to connect with alumni to ensure that participants stay current with the latest insights and developments.
